Register your myki

You can:

• instantly register an existing myki
• buy a registered myki.

Do either of these things by:

• logging into your myki account or by creating a new account
• using the PTV App
• contacting us.

A myki is already registered if you buy it through your myki account.
 

Register to protect your account balance

Registering your myki means you can:

• protect your balance if your myki is lost or stolen
• set up Auto Top Up
• view your trip’s cost
• view your myki account balance
• check the myki expiry date and replace it free of charge when it expires
• manage up to 10 mykis, including mykis for family or friends

For your transaction history, note:

• it takes 24 hours for recent trips to appear
• the PTV App shows you 30 days of history. Our myki website will show you six months of history
• you can ask for up to two years of travel and transaction history by contacting us.

Register your Mobile myki

Mobile mykis expire two years from activation. If you register your card, you'll get a reminder from us shortly before it expires.

If you want to keep using Mobile myki, simply tap on shortly before the expiration date and we'll automatically extend it.

However, if it expires without you realising, it will take up to seven days for your card to be reactivated.

We can also protect the balance of your registered card if your phone is stolen or lost.
