Public transport for events

Following the spectacular sell-out success of the ‘Carnival’ Concert World Tour, Jay Chou returns to Melbourne, bigger and better at Marvel Stadium with Carnival II World Tour. Extra services will help you get to and from the concert on Friday 17 October. 

Gates open at 5:00 pm.

Metropolitan train 

Please note the following disruptions: 

  • Lilydale, Belgrave and Glen Waverley lines run direct to Flinders Street (all day), not via the City Loop
  • On the Hurstbridge line, buses replace trains between Parliament and Macleod
  • On the Mernda line, buses replace trains between Parliament and Reservoir
  • On the Craigieburn line, buses replace trains from North Melbourne to Broadmeadows 

Metro Trains Additional Services

Additional services for the following lines get you to the show: 

  • Glen Waverley and Sandringham 

Additional services for the following lines depart after the show: 

  • Ringwood, Glen Waverley, Frankston, Cheltenham, Sandringham and Werribee 

Metropolitan tram 

Getting to and from Marvel Stadium 

Extra trams will operate as Route 30a via La Trobe Street, and as Route 86a via Bourke Street. 

Take advantage of the city’s Free Tram Zone, which extends from Queen Victoria Market to Docklands, Spring Street, Flinders Street Station and Federation Square.

Getting to and from Marvel Stadium

Customers can catch the following bus routes close to Marvel Stadium:

Please note that services may terminate before the end of the concert.

Regional train 

Please note the following disruptions: 

  • Shuttle buses will run on sections of the Ballarat line. Trains will run between Ballarat, Ararat, Maryborough and Bacchus Marsh. Buses will run between Bacchus Marsh and Caroline Springs. Trains will run between Caroline Springs and Southern Cross.
  • On the Ararat line, coaches will run between Ararat and Caroline Springs, also stopping at Beaufort. Trains will run between Caroline Springs and Southern Cross.
  • On the Maryborough line, coaches will run between Maryborough and Caroline Springs, also stopping at Talbot, Clunes and Creswick. Trains will run between Caroline Springs and Southern Cross. 

Additional and built-up services for the following lines operate after the show: 

  • Geelong line.
