New ways to tap and go for concession cardholders
If you have a concession card, catching public transport is even easier, with contactless payments available on trains, trams and myki-enabled buses across Victoria.
How to link your concession to contactless payments
Step 1
Tap on with your credit or debit card, smartphone or smartwatch
Step 2
Visit the Transport Victoria contactless portal and follow the prompts to link your concession entitlement to your payment method.
Step 3
You’re all set to tap and go with a concession fare from the next day you travel.
If you complete steps 1 and 2 on the same day, we'll automatically adjust the full fare you were charged to a concession fare.
Always carry your proof of concession and tap on every time you travel.
Keep using myki if you prefer.
Youth myki
Under 18s travel free with a Youth myki and cannot link their concession to a contactless payment. If you have a Youth myki, you should continue to carry it with you and tap on to access free travel.
Fares
Your discounted fares, off-peak savings and travel caps stay the same, no matter which way you pay for travel.
