Set up Auto Top Up in the PTV App

Set up myki Auto Top Up in the PTV App, so you’re always ready to travel on public transport in Victoria.

You can set a minimum balance for your myki in the PTV App, and your myki will automatically top up when your balance drops below it.

To set up Auto Top Up you will first need to register your myki.

Set Auto Top Up in the PTV App

Open the PTV App. If you don’t already have it, you can download it from Google Play or the Apple Store.
Log in to your myki account via ‘For you’ or ‘myki’.
In the ‘myki’ tab, select the myki you want to set up Auto Top Up for.
Tap ‘Set up’ next to ‘Auto Top Up’.
For both the balance threshold and top up amounts:
- the default is set to $10 with $10 top up amounts
- you can leave it at $10, or select $20, $50 or another, whole dollar, amount up to $250.
Choose how you would like to receive Auto Top Up updates:
- Email (email address auto-populated but editable)
- Phone (enter mobile number)
- None
Tap ‘Proceed to payment’ button.
Select payment method and enter the details required.
Tap ‘Proceed’.
Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
Tap the ‘Set Auto Top Up’ button.
A confirmation screen will display showing balance and top up amount, with the order number and myki number. If you want to save the details, tap the share icon in the top right. This information will also be available within your account.
