More payment options. More easy-going.
With more ways to tap and go on public transport, the choice is in your hands.
If you’re travelling on a full fare, you can now use contactless payments on trains, trams and buses in the myki area.
How to use tap and go
- Only for full fare customers, if you have a concession card, keep using myki
- Mastercard or Visa

Fares
Tap and go fares are the same as myki fares. Depending on your card provider and bank, it may take up to 3 days for payment to appear in your bank account. You may see a pending amount before your daily fare is calculated and confirmed.
Public transport in Victoria is half price until 1 January 2027. If you are a concession traveller, this includes you. To access half price fares simply tap on as usual.
