  • V/Line operates most regional train and coach services within Victoria.
  • You can use a myki for some journeys, but others need to be reserved and require a paper ticket.

You can travel interstate on public transport from Southern Cross Station and Station Pier in Port Melbourne.

This station provides train and coach connections to: 

  • New South Wales
  • the Australian Capital Territory
  • South Australia. 

Using connecting services from each of these states, customers can then travel to Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
