Fares

Use your myki as normal when you travel. You won’t be charged a return fare if you tap on before 3am.  A new day of myki fares begins at 3am.

At night, there are a number of ways you can top up:

Safety

View staffed station opening hours.  

Protective Services Officers (PSOs) help ensure traveller safety. They patrol:  

  • on board trains and in train stations in metropolitan Melbourne and major regional train stations, including car parks
  • bus interchanges and the surrounding area
  • on board trams and tram stops.
