Sometimes when working on roadsides, it

does feel incredibly unsafe.

People just drive past us too quickly.

They'll come too close to our vehicles

when we're trying to get in and out.

Getting people home safely is a great

feeling. And the best part about our job

is that we're here to help you. But we

can't help you if we don't feel safe

ourselves.

People do have to slow down to all

flashing lights now. It's not just us.

It's for their safety as well as the

people working on these things. If you

see the flashing lights, you must slow

safely to 40.

I know sometimes these accidents and

incidents can hold you up if you're

heading to work or heading home. It's

important for your safety and for ours

as well and the other emergency services

on scenes and that means that we can do

our job safely. See flashing lights

roadside. You must slow safely to 40.

Protect us so we can help you.
