Apply to be a licensed vehicle tester
Get approved to conduct roadworthy checks as a licensed vehicle tester (LVT).
Read the Licensed Vehicle Testers Licence Conditions before beginning your application. You must ensure that you are able to comply with the Licensed Vehicle Testers Licence Conditions in order to be issued with a Licenced Vehicle Tester Licence.
Don’t buy any automotive workshop equipment until we’ve granted your pre-approval and you’ve successfully completed your accredited training.
You must apply for a licence even if you purchased an existing LVT workshop. The previous owner’s licence isn't transferable.
