No-truck zone travel check
No-truck zone guidance: are you exempt?
No-truck zones are now in place on key residential streets in the inner west. Exemptions apply for some vehicle and journey types.
Answer the questions below to find out if you can travel in a no-truck zone.
What is your vehicle type?
What is your journey type?
Some trucks are already allowed in no-truck zones. Check your vehicle type in the vehicle type section above first. This helps you avoid extra steps and follow the right process.
If your vehicle type is not allowed in no-truck zones, you may still have an exemption based on your journey type; however, you must notify the NHVR of your exemption in advance or within 48 hours of travel to avoid a penalty infringement notice (PIN).
In the next section, you may be prompted via links to email your journey information to the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
