Williams Landing station improvements

We’re improving passenger accessibility and amenities at Williams Landing station.

What’s happening

We’re delivering the following improvements:

  • Building a new lift on the Wallace Avenue side of the station to improve accessibility.
  • Installing secure bike storage for commuters who ride to the station.
  • Improving platform shelters to provide commuters with extra cover.
  • Implementing minor amenity upgrades such as new bins and poster cases.

Project timeline

The works will be happening in stages from late 2025 through to late 2026.

Late 2025
  • Minor amenity upgrades - completed
Early February 2026
  • Platform shelter improvements
  • Preparation works for the lift
Mid 2026
  • Parkiteer installation (secure bike storage) and bike hoops
  • Construction of lift shaft
Mid - late 2026
  • Lift installation, testing and commissioning

Day works

  • 7am to 6pm weekdays, Monday 5 February to early September 2026

Out of hours works 

  • There will be some night works, more information will be provided ahead of any out of hours works.
  • Timings may change depending on weather or unavoidable circumstances.

What to expect

  • Excavation work for footing to install new lift shaft
  • Installation of the new lift and gangway to connect existing concourse
  • Medium to high levels of construction noise and low levels of dust may be experienced during the works
  • Use of machinery including excavators, cranes and concrete mixer
  • Increase in traffic from work crews accessing the site during construction
  • Temporary car space closures on the Wallace Avenue side
  • Temporary fencing around the work sites
  • Pedestrian detours and traffic management
