Surfcoast Highway, Reserve Road and Felix Street intersection safety upgrade
We’ve improved safety and traffic flow at the intersection of Surfcoast Highway, Reserve Road and Felix Street in Grovedale.
Underway
We’ve upgraded the Surfcoast Highway, Reserve Road and Felix Street intersection with new traffic signals, to make it safer for vehicles turning right out of the side roads, as well as improving safety for pedestrians and bike riders. The new traffic signals will also increase capacity during peak periods and improve traffic flow.
This project was jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian government.
Update - 27 October 2025
The new traffic signals are switched on at the Surfcoast Highway, Reserve Road and Felix Street intersection, Grovedale.
While major works are complete, there are minor ongoing works at the intersection.
Remaining works include site clean-up and public lighting. Temporary street lighting will be in place until the activation of public lights. Traffic management may be required at times, including lane closures and reduced speed limits.
