More ways to move

Cranbourne and Pakenham lines move through the new Metro Tunnel

Network changes with more services and destinations.

We've introduced a new timetable and connect the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sunbury Line through the Metro Tunnel.

You have more than 100 new weekly services, including turn up and go, with trains every 4.5 minutes in peak hours.

Services won't stop at Armadale, Toorak, Hawksburn, South Yarra, Richmond or the City Loop.

If you’re travelling to South Yarra, Richmond or Parliament, change at Caulfield. Otherwise, stay onboard and change for City Loop services at Town Hall or State Library for a quicker trip.

Connecting to the City Loop

You can change to a City Loop service at:

  • State Library Station – via the underground concourse to Melbourne Central Station
  • Town Hall Station – via the Degraves Street Subway to Flinders Street Station
  • Caulfield Station – change to a Frankston Line train
  • Malvern Station – change to a Frankston Line train.

Getting to Armadale, Toorak, Hawksburn, South Yarra and Richmond

Change to a Frankston Line train at:

  • Caulfield Station
  • Malvern Station.
