Changing between the City Loop and the Metro Tunnel
It's easy to change between City Loop and Metro Tunnel services in the city centre.
When changing trains, use the underground connections to go between:
- Flinders Street Station and Town Hall Station
- Melbourne Central Station and State Library Station
You don't need to tap on or off.
Pedestrians have free access between State Library and Melbourne Central stations, and access to the shops.
Use your myki at the gates and tap off within 15 minutes for free thoroughfare.

Your new stations
The five new state-of-the-art stations are:
- Arden Station in North Melbourne
- Parkville Station in Parkville
- State Library in the CBD
- Town Hall Station in the CBD
- Anzac Station on St Kilda Road

Accessibility and safety
The new Metro Tunnel stations have a range of features to help everyone travel easily and safely.
Only High Capacity Metro Trains run through the Metro Tunnel. These trains have improved passenger information displays, audible announcements, hearing loops and accessible seats.
