Hume Freeway lighting works

Update - November 2025

Following works in October, we will be undertaking two days of further lighting maintenance works on the Hume Freeway at Wodonga, between Melrose Drive and Albury. 

Maintenance works will also take place under the Bandiana Link overpass in Wodonga.

Works are planned to take place on:

• Tuesday 25 November 2025 between 9am-3:30pm
• Wednesday 26 November 2025 between 9am – 3:30pm
   

These works will improve the reliability of street lights and improve safety for all road users.

Please observe changed traffic conditions, follow the direction of signs on site and plan ahead.

Traffic disruptions

Works on the Hume Freeway will take place between Melrose Drive and Albury.  Works will also take place under the Bandiana Link overpass in Wodonga.

To deliver the works as safely and efficiently as possible, lane closures and reduced speeds will be place.

This work will involve lane closures northbound (travelling toward Albury) and southbound (travelling toward Melbourne) and also lane closures under the Bandiana Link overpass on November 25 and 26, 2025.

Works will be undertaken from 9am to 3:30pm.

After work hours all closures and speed restrictions will be removed.
