Goulburn Valley Highway patching works, Nagambie to Arcadia

We're undertaking repairs on a section of the Goulburn Valley Highway in north east Victoria.

Crews are delivering major asphalt patching works on the highway between Nagambie and Arcadia.

Works started on Monday 28 September and are expected to run for up to six weeks, weather permitting. Crews are now on site between 7am and 7pm, following the start of daylight saving on Sunday 4 October.

Speed limits on these sections of the highway will be reduced to 40km/h while works are underway, with lane closures in place. Posted speed limits will be reinstated outside working hours.

We ask that all road users take extra care when travelling through the area, observe traffic management signs and drive to the posted speed limit.

Murray River Road over Burrowye Creek, Burrowye

Following recent heavy rain and flooding events in north east Victoria, our structures team has identified repair works required to the embankment of Burrowye Creek underneath the Murray River Road in Burrowye.

We've put in place a lane closure and reduced speed limit of 40km/h over Burrowye Creek bridge on the Murray River Road.

Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicles will not be able to travel over the bridge and will need to seek an alternative route.

We will provide further updates as works progress.

Hume Freeway rehabilitation works, Sunday Creek

Rehabilitation works on a section of the Hume Freeway at Sunday Creek, between Broadford-Wandong Road and McDonalds Road, will take a break over the coming weeks, with crews expected to return during more favourable weather conditions in October.

During the works suspension, reduced speed limits will be in place for the safety of road users.
