Taylors Road Upgrade
We’re planning for a future upgrade of Taylors Road, between Kurung Drive in Kings Park and Kings Road in Delahey.
Overview
Options being explored to improve safety and increase road capacity to cater for population growth include:
- adding more lanes
- upgrading intersections
- improving walking and cycling connections.
What’s next
Planning work is underway and key activities include:
- developing a project design
- detailed traffic analysis and modelling
- on-site investigations to test ground conditions and map utility services
- environmental investigations to understand flora, fauna and tree species.
Planning work will provide a detailed examination of the future road upgrade to help inform government decisions. Initial planning work is expected to be complete in early 2028.
Site investigations
To help inform planning, a range of site investigations will be undertaken. At times, traffic control measures may be implemented, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. Traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, and busy periods will be avoided, where possible.
