Dohertys Road and Woods Road Intersection Pedestrian Safety Upgrade
Big Build Roads is delivering a pedestrian safety upgrade at the intersection of Dohertys Road and Woods Road in Truganina, on behalf of Transport Victoria.

The upgrade will add new pedestrian crossings at the intersection, making it easier and safer to cross the road.
What’s next
Detailed planning is currently underway as the upgrade moves towards construction. Key activities include:
- developing the detailed design and construction approach
- on-site investigations to test ground conditions and confirm the locations of utilities, services and other features.
To prepare for construction, a range of site assessments will be undertaken. To ensure these assessments are completed safely, there may be temporary lane closures, footpath closures and reduced speeds. Traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, and busy periods will be avoided, where possible.
Initial planning work for the safety upgrade is expected to be complete in mid-2027. Construction timelines will be known once planning has progressed further.
