Wonthaggi - Leongatha bus operating year-round

On Monday 26 October 2026, the Wonthaggi - Leongatha via Inverloch intertown bus will have a new timetable and operate year-round on weekdays. Currently, services operate on school days only.

What’s changing? 

• Services will operate year-round on weekdays.
• Services will continue to run one return trip per day, Monday to Friday.
• There will be minor timetable changes to better connect services with school bell times, giving students at least 10 minutes to get to and from the bus.

Stop changes 

Five stops along the Bass Highway between Leongatha and Inverloch will close due to low passenger numbers.  

The following stops will close:

• Outtrim-Inverloch Road/Bass Highway (stop ID 39154)
• Outtrim-Inverloch Road/Bass Highway (stop ID 39155)
• Zotti And Dowels Road/Bass Highway (stop ID 37949)
• Racecourse Road/Bass Highway (stop ID 37948)
• Koonawarra-Inverloch Rd/Bass Highway (Stop ID 37950).
