New bus Route 464 and upgrades to Route 463

On 4 October 2026, we’re introducing new bus Route 464 Watergardens Station – Rockbank Station, upgrading Route 463 Watergardens Station – Caroline Springs and removing Route 461.

There will be no loss of public transport coverage with the removal of Route 461 as the entire route will be covered by routes 463 and 464. 

On 4 October 2026, we’re introducing new bus Route 464, upgrading Route 463 and removing Route 461.

These changes will improve public transport for residents in Aintree, Deanside and Fraser Rise, providing better connections to schools, shops and other public transport in Watergardens and Caroline Springs.

To plan your journey:

New Route 464 Watergardens Station – Rockbank Station via Aintree

  • We’re introducing new bus Route 464, connecting Rockbank and Watergardens stations via Aintree, Deanside and Fraser Rise.
  • On weekdays, buses will run every 20 minutes on average from 6 am to 7 pm. Buses will run every 30 to 40 minutes at all other times.
  • On weekends, buses will run every 20 minutes from 6 am to 7 pm. Buses will run every 40 minutes on average at all other times.
  • On weekdays, buses will run from 4:58 am to 11:30 pm.
  • On Saturdays, buses will run from 6 am to 11 pm.
  • On Sundays, buses will run from 6 am to 10 pm.
  • Route 464 will connect with trains at Rockbank Station.

Passengers should check the new Route 464 map and timetable and plan ahead before travelling.

Upgrades to Route 463 Watergardens Station – Caroline Springs

  • We’re extending Route 463 from Hillside to Caroline Springs.
  • Route 463 will connect Hillside and Fraser Rise to Caroline Springs town centre and Watergardens Station.
  • The route will be renamed 463 Watergardens Station – Caroline Springs (currently Watergardens Station – Hillside via Langmore Drive).
  • Route 463 will have a new timetable with longer operating hours, more frequent buses and 194 extra weekly services.
  • On weekdays, buses will run every 20 minutes on average from 5:09 am to 7 pm. Buses will run every 40 minutes at all other times.
  • On weekends, buses will run every 20 minutes on average from 6 am to 7 pm. Buses will run every 40 minutes at all other times.
  • On weekdays, buses will run from 5:09 am to 11 pm.
  • On Saturdays, buses will run from 6 am to 11:30 pm.
  • On Sundays, buses will run from 6 am to 10 pm.
  • Route 463 will connect with trains at Watergardens Station.

Passengers should check the new Route 463 map and timetable and plan ahead before travelling.

Removal of Route 461 Watergardens Station – Caroline Springs Town Centre

  • Route 461 will be removed.
  • The entire route will be covered by the extended Route 463 and new Route 464.
  • There will be no loss of public transport coverage.
  • Passengers can catch routes 463 and 464 to access the same locations as they previously could on Route 461.

Stop changes

Some routes 463 and 464 bus stops in Deanside and Fraser Rise will not be ready when the changes start due to ongoing road and infrastructure works.  

The following new bus stops will not be ready on Sunday 4 October, passengers will be able to use these stops from late October and November 2026:

The following new bus stops will not be ready for use on Sunday 4 October, passengers will be able to use these stops from mid to late 2027, once roadworks on Taylors Road are completed:
