Reimbursements for passengers onboard two Cranbourne and Pakenham trains (Tuesday 3 February)
05/02/2026
Due to an issue with overhead power supply on Tuesday 3 February, two trains on the Cranbourne and Pakenham Line stopped between stations. This also caused impacts to Metro Tunnel and V/Line Gippsland services.
Reimbursements are available for the passengers who were onboard and unable to leave the train, until it was safe. This will be $11.40 for Full Fare passengers and $5.70 for concession passengers.
If you were onboard one of the following services, you can apply for a reimbursement until Friday 13 February. The easiest way is to use the myki refund and reimbursement form. While normally service delivery issues (such as delays or cancellations) need to be lodged through the PTV Feedback form, in this instance you can simply select ‘Begin’ on the reimbursement form and then enter your myki number.
- 4.51pm from Town Hall to Cranbourne
- 4.55pm from Town Hall to Pakenham
These reimbursements will be processed over the next two weeks.
We apologise for the inconvenience this disruption caused and thank passengers for their patience.
