New bus service - Mt Atkinson, Grandview, Rockbank

We're introducing a new bus service 140A to make it easier to connect between Mt Atkinson and Rockbank Station for the first time.

From 28 June 2026, new bus route 140A Mt Atkinson to Rockbank Station will service southern Rockbank, Grandview and Mt Atkinson estates, making it easier to access Rockbank Station, jobs and nearby suburbs.

Route 140A Mt Atkinson to Rockbank Station

572 new weekly bus trips
Buses will run early morning to late night, 7 days a week:
- Weekdays from 5.15am until 11.30pm
- Saturdays from 6am until 11.30pm
- Sundays from 6am until 10.30pm
On weekdays buses will run approximately 20 minutes from 6am to 8pm and then every 40 minutes until 10pm
On weekends, buses will run approximately every 40 minutes from 6am to 10pm

Please note: We’ve fast tracked Route 140A to deliver services as soon as possible. For the first three months of operation, Route 140A will use temporary high-floor buses.

After this period, and as soon as they have been delivered, low floor buses will begin operating along the route.

If you require an accessible service, please speak to the driver at the stop or contact Transit Systems Victoria on 03 9283 7930 before travelling. An accessible taxi can be arranged to or from Rockbank Station, where you can connect with V/Line train services or Route 444.

Extension to Tarneit Station later in 2026

Route 140A will extend from Mt Atkinson to Tarneit Station once roadworks on Highline and Kirkpatrick boulevards are complete in late 2026. Buses will no longer travel on Grand Boulevard and Clara Avenue.
