Extreme heat - V/Line train services impacted on 7 January 2026

Extreme heat timetables will be operating across most of the V/Line network. This means journey times may be extended by a few minutes, and some services will be replaced by air-conditioned coaches for all or part of the journey.
Extreme Heat timetables will be implemented on the following lines:
- Full heat timetable for Geelong and Warrnambool
- Full heat timetable for Ballarat, Ararat, and Maryborough
- Full heat timetable for Bendigo, Swan Hill, and Echuca
- Full heat timetable for Traralgon and Bairnsdale
- Full heat timetable for Seymour and Shepparton
- The Albury/Wodonga line will be monitored in real time and managed on the day.

Please allow extra time for your journey and take water to stay hydrated.

- Check Disruptions for any service changes that may affect your journey.
- There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services
- No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches. Cold packaged foods can be consumed on V/Line coach services. All drink containers must have a secure, screw-top, fastening or spill-proof lid.
