Changes to Route 890

On 12 July 2026, we’re changing Route 890 to travel to more parts of Dandenong South.

What’s changing?

• Route 890 will travel along Kirkham Road, Morwell Avenue and Allan Street in Dandenong South.
• Route 890 will no longer travel along part of Hammond Road and Cheltenham Road.
• The route change will give residents living on Kirkham Road, Morwell Avenue and Allan Street a frequent bus service closer to home.
• Weekend services on Route 890 will finish one hour earlier at 8 pm.
• Route 890 will have a new timetable.

Stop changes 

• Some stops on Hammond Road and Cheltenham Road will no longer be used by Route 890.
• If you catch Route 890 from Hammond Road or Cheltenham Road, you can catch routes 857 or 901 instead.
• Route 890 will use existing bus stops on Kirkham Road and Morwell Avenue and service two new stops on Allan Street.
