Changes to Route 511

On 26 July 2026, we’re improving Route 511 by adding more services, extending operating hours and improving coverage in Beveridge.

Timetable changes

We’re adding 322 new weekly trips to Route 511.
Route 511 will run approximately every 40 minutes all week from:
- 5:30 am to 10:40 pm on weekdays
- 6.55 am to 10:40 pm on Saturdays
- 7:35 am to 9:30 pm on Sundays.

Times indicate the departure of the first and last service.

Route 511 will travel the full length of Mandalay Circuit, giving residents in the north of Mandalay Estate bus services for the first time.
Route 511 trips from Craigieburn Station will travel Mandalay Circuit in an anticlockwise loop. Only these trips travel through Mandalay Circuit.
Passengers on Mandalay Circuit heading to Craigieburn Station can board Route 511 while it completes the loop. The bus will stop and wait for 1-5 minutes at Mantel Green/Lithgow Street before continuing to Craigieburn Station.
The bus destination display will change from “Mandalay” to “Craigieburn Station” before entering Mandalay Circuit, so passengers know the bus is continuing to Craigieburn Station.
Route 511 will not run along Golf Links Drive in Beveridge. Passengers can walk to an alternative Route 511 stop on Mandalay Circuit.
Route 511 will be extended to the eastern part of Beveridge once road works are completed in 2027.

The three bus stops on Golf Links Drive will no longer be serviced by Route 511.
