Public transport for the Strummingbird music festival at Victoria Park in Ballarat on Saturday 10 October 2026. 

The event will run from 11am to 11pm.

Metropolitan train

Getting to and from Melbourne 

Regular trains will operate via Southern Cross Station for passengers wishing to connect to a regional train travelling to and from Ballarat.

Getting to and from Melbourne 

Trams operate via Flinders Street and Southern Cross Stations, for passengers wishing to connect to a regional train travelling to and from Ballarat.

Regional bus

Getting to and from Victoria Park, Ballarat 

A free event bus shuttle is operating between Ballarat City and the event campground on Friday and Saturday, between Little Bridge Street and Russel Street. These will run on Friday 9 October: 4pm to 10pm and Saturday 10 October: 8am to 1pm.

Melbourne on The Move is operating a Ballarat service between Ballarat Civic Hall and Victoria Park. These buses will also operate return services to Civic Hall at the conclusion of the event. 

Regional train

Getting to and from Victoria Park, Ballarat 

Passengers arriving at Southern Cross station are advised to change trains and catch a Ballarat service. 

Extra trains will operate for passengers returning to Southern Cross after the event, departing Ballarat station at: 

  • 11.45pm
  • 12.15am (Sunday morning)
  • 12:55am (Sunday morning)
