The Big Bash League is back for another season – bringing all the colour and excitement to the ‘G. Extra services will help you get to and from the MCG on Tuesday 13 January.
The match will begin at 7:15 pm and concludes at approximately 10:25 pm.

Additional services for the following lines depart from Jolimont and Richmond stations after the game:

Clifton Hill, Greensborough, Flinders Street, Ringwood, Glen Waverley, and Cheltenham

Mernda Passengers are to alight on Clifton Hill/Greensborough services from Jolimont (Platform 2), then transfer at Clifton Hill for a bus connection.

Pakenham and Cranbourne Passengers are to alight on Cheltenham services from Richmond (Platform 4), then transfer at Caulfield for a bus connection.

Sandringham Passengers are to alight on Frankston services from Richmond (Platform 4), then transfer at South Yarra for a bus connection.

Werribee, Williamstown and Sunbury Passengers are to alight on any available service from Richmond (Platforms 3, 7 & 8) or Jolimont (Platform 1), then transfer at Flinders Street for a Northern Group service to North Melbourne.

Getting to and from the MCG

Route 48

Trams will operate as a shuttle between Wellington Parade/Simpson Street Stop 13 and Collins Street/Victoria Harbour Stop D18

Route 70a

Trams will operate as a shuttle between Flinders Street West Stop 06, and MCG/John Cain Arena stop 7C.

Route 75a

Trams will operate as a shuttle between Flinders Street Stop 04 and Wellington Parade/Simpson Street Stop 13.

Customers can catch the following buses close to the MCG:

Significant service changes and coach replacements will be in place on several lines.

Additional services for the Geelong lines have been planned. Please note that coaches replace all trains between Southern Cross and Waurn Ponds from 7:30 pm. Additional event coaches will depart from Southern Cross.
