Queen Victoria Market

Market Basket by Angharad Neal-Williams is inspired by the Queen Victoria Market and represents the idea of slowing down while you shop local.

The decision to hand paint the design, itself a much slower technique than digital art, was inspired by the slower pace of market shopping. The work aims to let people know exactly where they are when they arrive and that there is fresh produce just around the corner.

“I hope that people will know where they are as soon as they get to the tram stop, regardless of their ability to read or if they’re local or travelling”.
