Muderra Way

Noble Park

‘Link Road’ in Noble Park, connecting Leonard Avenue and Ian Street beneath the railway station, was renamed Muderra Way—a Bunurong word meaning “torrential rain”—with the support of the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation.

Mural artists Kobi Sainty (Bunurong and Palawa), Koorrin Edwards (Bunurong, Gunnai, Gunditjmara, Mutti and Yorta Yorta), and Robert Michael Young (Gunnai, Wiradjuri, Yorta and Gunditjmara) collaborated to design and deliver artwork across four rail bridge pillars.

Each artist brings a distinct element to the work: Robert’s raindrops, Koorrin’s meeting place, and Kobi’s flowing river symbolising new life, purity, and water. Together, these elements create a cohesive visual story connected through movement, landscape, and cultural meaning.
