We’re improving safety at the intersection of the Sturt Highway (Deakin Avenue) and Sixteenth Street in Mildura with a joint investment from the Australian Government and the Victorian Government under the Road Safety program.

Overview
Transport Victoria is undertaking planning work to develop designs for the intersection with a focus on improved safety for all road users including motorists, pedestrians and bike riders.
Planning for improvements will include development of plans to install traffic signals, improved pedestrian access and other safety improvements.
We will engage with residents near the intersection to inform on the intersection design and proposed access changes.
This project is currently in development. The final design and a timeline for construction will be confirmed as work progresses.
