Northern Highway, Kilmore maintenance works
Overview
Works are being completed at the following locations on the Northern Highway:
- intersection of Willowmavin Road, Kilmore (5-6 January)
- intersection of Clarke Street, Kilmore (7-8 January)
- intersection of Taylors Lane, Wallan (9 January)
- intersection of Union Street, Kilmore (12-13 January)
Our crews will be onsite from 5 January 2025, with works continuing until mid-January, weather permitting. Please note dates may be subject to change.
Works will delivered in stages across the four sites. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption where possible.
Traffic Impacts
Our crews will be working at night from approximately 8.30pm to 6am.
During the works lane closures and reduced speeds will be in place as required.
There will localised road closures at times as required. Please follow the direction of on-site traffic management crews and detour signs.
Dates and times of works are subject to change due to weather conditions.
Some noise, dust and vibration may be experienced around each work site. For the safety of our crews reverse beepers are required on all equipment.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time.

Background
We’re repairing several sections of the Northern Highway in Kilmore and Wallan. These important maintenance works will improve damaged sections of the road and provide a smoother, stronger surface for all road users.
