Echuca-Mooroopna Road, Mooroopna rehabilitation works
We’re reconstructing a section of the Echuca-Mooroopna Road (Echuca Road) at Mooroopna to provide a smoother, safer journey for all road users.
Project status:
Underway
Update - October 2024
Works will be delivered on approximately 1.2 kilometres of both sides of Echuca-Mooroopna Road from Baker Crescent to Paisley Crescent.
Our crews will be onsite from early November, with works continuing until March 2025 (weather permitting). Works will stop over the Christmas and New Year holiday period to minimise disruption.
Traffic impacts
- Works will be delivered between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday – excluding public holidays and the Christmas/New Year period.
- Weekend and night works may be required at times for increased efficiency and the safety of road workers. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption where possible.
- Dates and times of works are subject to change due to weather conditions.
- Works will be delivered in stages with lane closures and reduced speeds in place as required.
Detours
- At times during the works local roads intersecting with Echuca-Mooroopna Road will be closed and local road detours will be in place.
- The traffic signals at the intersection of Echuca-Mooroopna Road and Macissac Road will be deactivated at times during works with a signed detour in place via the local road network. There will also be an alternative heavy vehicle detour via Ardmona Road.
- Please observe changed traffic conditions on-site, follow detour signs and allow extra time.
Other impacts
- There will be no on-street parking on Echuca-Mooroopna Road and some sections of the adjacent service road during the works.
- Signalised pedestrian crossings and footpaths will be inaccessible at times during the works. Please observe changes on-site.
- Some noise, dust and vibration may be experienced in the vicinity of the works site. For the safety of our crews reverse beepers are required on all equipment. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption where possible.
