Free trams to the Grand Prix

If you're going to the Grand Prix this weekend, the best way to get there is on one of the many free trams.

There are dedicated express trams for Grand Prix ticketholders running from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne Central and Flinders Street (St Kilda Road). The trams will run from 5.30am until 10pm each day.

Southern Cross Station trams will run to Gates 1, 2 and 3. Flinders Street Station and Melbourne Central trams will run to Gates 5, 8, 9 and 10.

Regular bus services will also run to the event including on surrounding routes 246, 600, 604, 606, 922, 923.

Rideshare and taxi drop off and pick up points will be available on Canterbury Road, Albert Road, St Kilda Road and Fitzroy Street.

To better support the movement of people to and from the Grand Prix and vicinity, buses will replace trams on some nearby routes and there are other tram service changes across Melbourne.

We encourage you to plan your trip with our Grand Prix journey planner.
