From bigger trains and trams and smarter signalling to adding capacity to run extra trains to key regional cities, laying the foundation for longer-term options for fast rail.

Buses are a vital part of Victoria’s integrated transport system.

We are buying new buses, adding new routes or adjusting old ones and overhauling contracts with operators to make bus travel better for passengers. 

We’re also working to make our public transport network safer for everyone by installing better CCTV on trains and at stations, getting more PSOs out on the network and providing resources for teachers to plan lessons with a safety focus.
