Metro Trains Melbourne

As the city’s metropolitan rail service, Metro operates 226 six-carriage trains across 998 kilometres of track, transporting 450,000 customers each day. 

Yarra Trams

Melbourne's iconic tram fleet is operated by Yarra Trams. Consisting of more than 490 trams across nine classes, the world's largest tram network runs on 250km of double track and accommodates 207 million passenger trips per year.


V/Line has provided passenger rail and coach services to regional Victoria for over 30 years, connecting Melbourne with destinations across the state, as well as South Australia, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
