How do you chang the depor or move the accident tow truck licence to another place?

If you're interested in altering the depot or moving an accident tow truck licence you need to complete the application to alter specified depot form (PDF).

This form can be used for up to five licences. Each licence alteration incurs a fee.

All applicants much ensure they include all the required information listed on the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) website.

Who decides if an application is successful?

Once your form has been submitted, it’ll be considered by DTP in accordance with the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2019

How long does an application take?

The average response time for an alteration of depot application is six to eight weeks. 

If additional information is required, this period may be extended and DTP will advise you in writing if this is the case.

Can an alteration application be rejected?

Yes, an application may be approved if the movement of the licence is likely to cause a measurable negative effect on the proposed area.

Can I object to a proposed alteration of depot application in my area?

There’s no provision in the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2019 for objections or comments from the current licence holders or the public.
