Over dimensional routes

Read the information below about where you can use over dimensional vehicles in Victoria.

View the preferred network of roads for use by over-dimensional combinations that exceed any of the following dimension limits:

  • Height of 5.0 metres
  • Width of 5.0 metres
  • Length of 30 metres
  • Mass of 100 tonnes GCM.

Access is managed through conditions, such as escorts and travel time restrictions, stated in an NHVR permit.

Access for these over dimensional combinations is determined on a case by case basis. You can apply for an NHVR permit through the NHVR portal.
