UITP 2021 Global Public Transport Summit

The UITP 2021 Global Public Transport Summit is coming to Melbourne, marking just the second time the event has been held in the southern hemisphere in its 130-year history.

The UITP (L'Union Internationale des Transports Publics) is a non-profit public transport advocacy organisation based in Brussels, Belgium and made up of more than 1600 member companies in over 96 countries.

Their work focuses on public transport development, sustainability and improving urban mobility.

The UITP Global Public Transport Summit is a unique event that gathers together all transport modes, industry authorities and operators, as well as exhibitors from all over the world.

It’s an opportunity for the world’s most advanced cities to share their best ideas about how we adapt to the future of transport, rapid population growth and other shared challenges.

With almost 130 years of history behind it, the UITP Global Public Transport Summit remains the world's biggest event dedicated to sustainable mobility.

Melbourne 2021 Summit

The Melbourne 2021 Summit will showcase innovations across the sustainable mobility sector, bringing together the best minds and emerging technologies from around the world to create a truly diverse experience.

In Victoria, we have a rich history of advancing public transport. We’re embarking on one of the largest investments in major transport infrastructure projects in the state’s history, investing $72 billion to respond to some of the fastest population growth in the world.

Visitors to Melbourne will have the chance to take part in technical tours of some of these projects, while also being able to see the world’s biggest tram network in action.

This is a great opportunity for regional and global transport professionals from across industry and government to join us on the world stage and share ideas, foster innovation and network with other world leaders in sustainable mobility.
