New bus depot opens in Kyneton
The Macedon Ranges has a brand new and expanded bus depot, which is helping to provide more public transport options for locals.
Officially opened today, the new bus depot in Kyneton will help Dyson’s deliver new and improved bus services.
The new services link communities including Kyneton, Trentham, Romsey, Lancefield, Sunbury and Gisborne and provide better connections with trains on the V/Line network.
In April, Kyneton’s bus services were expanded from three to six days and extended hours of operation.
The changes also saw one hundred extra services added and the launch of a new bus service to Trentham.
An extra 60 extra services were added in July to better connect Lancefield and Romsey with Gisborne, Kyneton and Sunbury.
The expanded bus network is also supporting regional jobs at the new Dyson’s depot with 29 mechanics, drivers and office staff employed locally.
