April disruptions continue transcript

With work continuing across the transport network in April, here’s what you need to know.

Metro Tunnel works continue to see buses replace trains this week on the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Frankston lines.

Trains on the Mernda line are expected to return on Wednesday.

On the regional network, coaches are still replacing regional trains on the Warrnambool and Gippsland lines.

VicRoads engineers are making sure buses get priority while the trains aren’t running.

They’ll be monitoring CCTV and using Bluetooth and in-road sensors to keep those buses running on time.

There’s less traffic on the road during school holidays, but with extra buses on the road you’ll need to allow extra time if you plan to use the Monash Freeway, Princes Highway or Nepean Highway.

And a reminder, High Street, Reservoir remains closed until Thursday as work continues there to remove the level crossing.

Flinders Street will be closed to westbound traffic between Batman Avenue and Russell Street.

Don’t forget, plan ahead to avoid long delays and thanks for your patience while we get on with this important work.
