Warburton-Woods Point Road Critical Maintenance Work

We’ve completed critical maintenance work in Reefton to repair early stages of a landslip and prevent further road damage.

Project update - March 2024

Warburton-Woods Point Road between Stream Road, Reefton and Cumberland Junction, Cambarville is open in both directions. 

What we've done

  • Excavated the full width and length of the impacted section of road to a 1m depth.
  • Anchored and rebuilt the impacted section of road.
  • Reconstructed and repaired drainage.

Environment

We share the value that the local community places on the environment and have committed to purchasing voluntary offsets to account for the vegetation we need to remove to complete these works. To excavate and repair the damaged section of road, we need to remove a narrow strip of vegetation along the length of the site.
