South Gippsland Highway works at Foster North

Update - February 2024

Preliminary work to repair a stretch of the South Gippsland Highway at Foster North will begin on 21 February 2024.

These works will include digging out a section of the road between Falls Road and Carmichaels Road, east of Grassy Spur, in readiness for resurfacing, resealing and line-marking in coming weeks.

This will help improve the durability, lifespan and safety of the road for local residents, freight operators, and tourists across South Gippsland.
Crews are expected to be on site until mid-March to complete these important works.

What this means for you

During works, motorists will experience lane closures. Traffic management will be in place and the speed limit will be reduced to 40km/h for the safety of crew members and road users.

Crews will be on site between 7am and 5pm each day while works are being carried out. Please drive carefully through the work site.
