Napoleon Road, Lysterfield maintenance works

We’re completing road maintenance works on Napoleon Road in Lysterfield between Kelletts Road and Lysterfield Road.

When to expect us

Works are expected to take place from Sunday 5 May to mid-June 2024. Please note, these dates and times are subject to favourable weather conditions.

What to expect

  • Napoleon Road between Kelletts Road and Lysterfield Road will be closed nightly between 9pm and 5am; Sundays to Thursdays. This section will reopen each day from 5am.
  • During night works, crews will complete road rehabilitation and resurfacing works.
  • During the road closure, detours will be available via Kelletts Road, Stud Road, Ferntree Gully Road, Burwood Highway, Lysterfield Road and Wellington Road. Expect an additional ten minutes travel time.
  • Signed detours for local residential traffic will be in place.
  • Access to private properties within the closed section will be maintained, with traffic management controllers helping residents to enter and exit driveways.
  • Medium to high levels of noise when crews remove the surface layers of road. We’ll complete the noisiest works in the earlier part of the night, where possible. Low to medium levels of noise are expected during all other works.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Napoleon Road between 9am and 3:30pm, Mondays to Fridays with traffic management controllers and signs in place to help you safely move through the area.
  • During day works, crews will complete minor works including drain cleaning and utility works.
  • A speed reduction will be in place around the work site.

What we're doing

  • Road rehabilitation works on Napoleon Road, from Lakesfield Drive to approximately 70m west of Lysterfield Road. This includes rehabilitation works to the road shoulder.
  • Road resurfacing works on Napoleon Road, between approximately 170m south of Lakesfield Drive and Lakesfield Drive.
  • Drain cleaning and utility works.
