Monash Freeway maintenance works

We’re delivering important road maintenance works on the Monash Freeway.

Project status:

Planned

What we're doing

We’re undertaking maintenance works on the Monash Freeway between Warrigal Road and Toorak Road to repair sections of the road that have become damaged following recent weather events.

Our inspections, investigations and routine maintenance works are vital to ensure the safety of the network. Works will be undertaken at night when traffic volumes are down.

When to expect us

Crews will be working at night between 8pm and 5am from March to May 2024, weather permitting.

What to expect

During works, there will be:

  • inbound and outbound lane closures on the Monash Freeway between Warrigal Road and Toorak Road
  • reduced speeds during works to ensure the safety of crews and all road users
  • up to 30 minute delays when moving through the area
  • access for buses will be maintained
  • access for emergency services will be maintained.

Plan ahead and allow extra travel time in the area. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out these important maintenance works.
