High Street and Urquhart Street intersection upgrade (Development)

Planning is underway to develop improvements at the intersection of High Street and Urquhart Street, Woodend, to improve safety for all road users.

What we're doing

Increased traffic at this intersection due to the supermarket has increased confusion among road users and increased the risk of an accident.

We are looking to develop intersection improvements for all road users that:

  • Improve safety
  • Support access to key destinations in the Woodend township
  • Improve movement and traffic flow
  • Create better connections for walking and cycling.

It is important to note that this is a project to develop designs for improvements for the intersection and is not yet funded for construction. We will continue to seek funding for construction and maintain this project as a priority for the region.
