Great Ocean Road bridge replacements over Calder River and Ford River

We’ve replaced the Calder River and Ford River bridges on the Great Ocean Road to make them safer and more durable.

Project status:

Complete

Update – December 2024

Major works on the Calder River bridge at Hordern Vale and the Ford River bridge at Glenaire are complete.

The bridges are now open to two lanes of traffic (one lane in each direction).

Remaining works may require traffic management at times, with minimal disruptions expected.

See our Great Ocean Road upgrades page for more projects along this road.
