Flood Capital Works Program - Loddon Mallee region
Key roads impacted by the flood event in northern Victoria are being repaired under a massive flood recovery program.
Update - May 2023
Major roadworks will deliver long-term fixes for some of the region’s most badly flood-damaged roads including sections of:
- Prairie-Rochester Road – starting soon
- Various sections of the McIvor Highway
- Elmore-Raywood Road
- Kerang-Koondrook Road
- Bendigo-Redesdale Road
- Loddon Valley Highway
- Sections of the Northern Highway.
Crews continue to be out in the region undertaking major rebuilding and rehabilitation of roads, asphalt patching, repairing bridges, clearing and fixing damaged roadside drains and culverts and clearing roadside debris.
These works are part of an $165 million state-wide program, which will repair and restore roads right across regional Victoria following the October 2022 flooding event.
