Flood Capital Works Program - Hume
Update - June 2023
We’re improving the road surface of the Hume Freeway at a series of locations between Wallan and Benalla in Hume Region as part of flood recovery works.
The works are part of a $165 million state-wide program to repair and restore roads right across Victoria following the 2022 flood event.
Our crews will be on site to apply the final asphalt surfacing to previously repaired sections of the Hume Freeway – both on the northbound and southbound carriageways.
This work will be done across approximately 60 sites and be completed by the end of June, weather permitting. Several crews will be working at the same time to deliver the works as quickly and safely as possible.
During works lane closures will be in place at times and speeds will be reduced. Minimal delays are expected.
Please observe changed traffic conditions, follow the direction of crews on site and allow extra time. For more information email: [email protected]
