Flood Capital Works Program - Gippsland region
Some of the key roads in Gippsland impacted by both the recent floods and those from earlier in 2022 are being repaired under a massive flood recovery program.
Update - May 2023
The program of works include repairs to:
- Great Alpine Road
- Marlo Road
- Princes Highway East
Other roads being repaired across the region include the South Gippsland Highway, Dargo Road and the Bass Highway.
Some of the upcoming works are also to repair roads impacted by the flood events from early 2022.
Crews continue to be out in the region undertaking major rebuilding and rehabilitation of roads, asphalt patching, clearing and fixing damaged roadside drains and culverts and clearing roadside debris.
The works are part of an $165 million state-wide program, which will repair and restore roads right across regional Victoria following the 2022 flooding event.
