Dandenong Road and Koornang Road/Darling Road intersection improvements

We’ve completed construction works to improve safety at the intersection of Dandenong Road and Koornang Road/Darling Road in Carnegie.

What we've done

We installed four flashing ‘Give Way to Pedestrians’ signs and two pedestrian detectors at the intersection.

This was the second stage of works, following earlier improvement works which were completed in November 2022. The first stage of works included:

Changing the traffic light sequencing to give pedestrians a head start to cross Dandenong Road.
Improving the right turns from Darling Road and Koornang Road to Dandenong Road by installing new right arrow lights.
Upgrading the traffic lights at the intersection to brighter LED lights.
